What is a Review Conference?

After the Initial Child Protection Conference, a Review Conference takes place about 3 months later.

At this meeting, everyone will look at whether your child—or the children you care for—are still at serious risk of harm.

The group will also talk about why your child’s name is on the Child Protection Register (for example, if it’s because of physical abuse) and if that reason has changed or needs updating.

Sometimes, new reports or information will be shared to help with the decisions. If your child’s name needs to stay on the Register, Review Conferences will happen every six months to keep checking in.
